This was a fantastic video and Doug and his family seem totally deserving of this. Also, this is why I love German cars. I had an Audi A3 for years which I bought cheap from a friend and all she ever needed in the years of time I had her were routine servicing and tyres. German cars are tough and dependable when properly cared for. This BMW was definitely well cared for despite being a non-runner. Respect from the UK and best wishes to Doug and his family. Classic. Pro Tip for the Twist seat issue. Pull the inner square spring cable out and hit it with a hammer on a hard surface while rotating the spring wire. This is a better alternative then cutting the outer sleeve guard. Done it on my E31's and my E39.

Hi Sreten, I really like your videos, they are quiet helpful for me working on my own car! One question about mounting the control arm bushings (Hydrolager): You applied silicone grease to help slinding the bushings onto the control arms. While there are plenty people that advise against using any grease, some do, including BMW mechanics as I read at one point. Did you encounter any problems with using silicone grease? Thanks for your advise!
